I’m Navyaa—a researcher, artist, and social entrepreneur driven by a belief that opportunity should be shared, not inherited. My work explores how stories, systems, and spaces can be redesigned to include more voices—and how socio-economic behavior shapes who gets to participate in them.
I’ve always been drawn to the spaces in between—between thought and action, discipline and creativity, hearing and being heard. That’s where I find the work worth doing.
When I researched gendered advertising, I wasn’t just tallying survey responses; I was dissecting how language and markets intersect—how subtle biases shape both consumer behavior and cultural norms. It taught me that inclusion begins with noticing what goes unseen. That same impulse drove Digital Saheli, where I worked with 200+ women entrepreneurs from underserved communities, helping them build digital and business skills—and through them, agency over their own stories. I also extended my collaboration with AIFDW by conducting workshops with hearing impaired women and heads of 18 AIFDW affiliated training centers that support skill building and empowerment of 3700 hearing impaired members.
Theatre taught me another language of inclusion. Co-creating plays with neurodivergent students, I learned that creativity thrives when every voice is invited in, no one left at the edge of the stage.
Karate taught me balance in action. Competing internationally, I learned when to defend, when to strike, and that true strength comes from understanding both. Teaching self-defense to 400+ girls across government schools and NGOs, I saw confidence ripple outward—quiet, persistent, unstoppable.
From courtrooms to classrooms, stages to dojos, my goal remains the same: to make every space a little fairer, every story a little louder, and every person a little more seen. Because equity isn’t given—it’s practiced, chosen, and shared. And as I continue to study how human behavior, business, and equity intersect, I’m learning that systems—like stories—change when enough people decide to rewrite them.

Digital Saheli empowers women entrepreneurs from underserved communities by training them in practical digital tools—social media, Canva, WhatsApp Business, and online storytelling—to help them grow their ventures, amplify their voices, and access economic opportunities.

In an inspiring collaboration with the All India Foundation of Deaf Women (AIFDW), Navyaa  reimagined digital training to be truly inclusive. Together, they co-created sign language–integrated video modules, enabling hearing impaired women to learn digital skills independently and confidently. Navyaa has conducted workshops for the 18 training centres across India affiliated to AIFDW, to strengthen their digital presence, so they could better enable income generation activities for the 3,700 women supported by our network.
