Research & Internships

My research focuses on the ways media, design and performance influence behaviour, creativity and identity. Below are selected papers, methods, and outputs — click any item to read an abstract, download the full paper, or view supporting figures.

Measuring Invisible Gains: Developing Frameworks to Quantify the Impact of Well-Being-Centered Design on Productivity in Creative and Knowledge Workspaces

I authored a research paper titled “Measuring Invisible Gains: Developing Frameworks to Quantify the Impact of Well-Being-Centered Design on Productivity in Creative and Knowledge Workspaces.” The project aimed to understand how thoughtfully designed environments—focusing on comfort, mental well-being, and inclusivity—affect user behavior and productivity. By analyzing patterns of workspace use and linking them to creative output, I sought to build frameworks that quantify these often “invisible” benefits. This work deepened my understanding of consumer and user behavior, complementing my broader interest in how design, structure, and storytelling influence the ways people think, act, and perform.

A Study on the Language of Gender in Marketing and Advertising in India

My research paper, “How Marketing Strategies Towards Women Differ Over Time,” explores the intersection of gender, culture, economics, and media. It examines how marketers have historically portrayed women, how these portrayals have shifted over decades, and how they vary across societies and regions. This project reflects my broader interest in analyzing storytelling and structure—how narratives shape perception and behavior. By uncovering patterns in marketing strategies, I connect my academic curiosity to my larger mission: empowering women to own their stories, build their brands, and challenge limiting portrayals, much like I do through my initiative, Digital Saheli.

Internship with National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC)

During my internship with Hon'ble Justice Amreshwar Pratap Sahi at the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), I gained valuable firsthand experience in the consumer protection framework of India. The NCDRC, established in 1988 under the Consumer Protection Act of 1986 and headquartered in New Delhi, serves as the apex quasi-judicial body addressing consumer disputes. It is led by a sitting or retired judge of the Supreme Court or a Chief Justice of a High Court, with Justice Sahi currently presiding.

As part of my role, I observed live consumer court hearings at district commissions, including cases on medical negligence and unfair trade practices, which deepened my understanding of the legal process and the critical role of consumer awareness in ensuring accountability. I prepared case summaries, assisted in legal research on ongoing cases, and conducted extensive research on previous rulings. Additionally, I contributed to awareness initiatives educating the public on filing consumer complaints at the district level. My contributions were formally recognized with a certificate from the President of the NCDRC.
